PIONEER DAYS - Cancelled for 2020

The Fort Belmont board of directors have made the decision to cancel this year's Pioneer Days. The risks involved with Covid 19 and state regulations now in place, make it difficult to host large crowds of people. Please note that the Fort is open daily for visitors and limited size tours. Thank you.

Fort Belmont is open as of June 19

Fort Belmont is open as of June 19 for daily tours. Please obey 6 ft. social distancing and follow number limits per building protocol. Hand sanitizer and wipes are available on site for your safety. We are OPEN, so please stop by and visit the Fort soon.

2020 Opening Delayed due to Covad19

Fort Belmont will not be able to open on Memorial Day as originally scheduled. The Board of Directors made the decision at their most recent board meeting. Ken Kruse, President of the Board, said they are in a wait-and-see mode for now. Also, WWW church services and the Rhythm of the River music festival are up in the air at this point. ROTR is normally held the second weekend of July. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Volunteers make Fort Belmont great!

Thank you to all our board members and volunteers for your time and effort in 2018! You ARE appreciated! Fort Belmont is looking for more people to help in the coming year. We have various projects and opportunities for all ages. Are you interested in preserving the history and sharing the stories of early days in Jackson County? It takes the talents of many to keep the Fort open and ready for visitors throughout the summer season. The Fort is a great asset for our community of Jackson. Please consider volunteering this year. Contact a Fort board member, the Jackson Chamber of Commerce or send us an email. Whether you have a little time or lots of time, we would really appreciate hearing from you.
